CAT Telecom Public Company Limited today launched a very special website, inviting Thais and foreigners to light virtual candles online and let the flame shine to celebrate HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s birthday. The event was presided over by Maj. Gen. Sanan Kajornprasart, Deputy Prime Minister.

 

Nathi Premrasmi, Chairman of the Board, CAT Telecom Public Company Limited, disclosed that CAT Telecom has designed and launched a special website www.candlefortheking.com to offer opportunity for Thais and foreigners to send their birthday wishes to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on his birthday (December 5)

 

“The “Candle for the King” campaign is built on CAT Telecom’s technology capability and our strength as the country’s core telecommunication infrastructure and service provider with the largest network that reaches the mass audience. With our strength, we are ready to connect people together to create a harmonious society. With this new website, Thais living everywhere in the world can express their love and respect to His Majesty who is the center of the entire country who holds together everyone in Thai community. With oneness among Thais, the country can move forward healthily towards sustainable growth,” said Premrasmi.

 

Interested persons can participate in this “Candle for the King” campaign from 18 November to 9 December 2009. They can click www.candlefortheking.com to light a candle and let the flame represents them in wishing His Majesty a happy birthday. Participants can also click to see their own candles and invite friends to join the campaign via email or tag friends in popular online communities such as Facebook, Hi5 and Twitter. At the end of the campaign, CAT Telecom will collect all the blessings to His Majesty.
